Anu-KA Reiki Transformation Work
The beautiful gift of Universal Life Force Energy.
Anu-KA Reiki Transformation Work is my name for my unique signature of energy work, which is based in Reiki, a powerful modality that utilizes universal life force energy. This work incorporates not just my background and training as a Reiki Master, but also my training and experience in other powerful modalities and practices such as Vortex Divine Energy Healing®, Blue Body Healing®, sound healing, and shamanism. On a limited basis, I offer these sessions remotely (from a distance) and also in-person.
What is Reiki? Reiki is a powerful, natural system that unlocks the flow of vital energy, restoring and balancing the energy systems in all living things.
For wellness. For healing. For stress-reduction. For personal transformation. For facilitating an openness to receiving insight and guidance. For opening oneself to one’s innate spiritual-multidimensional nature. And for many other purposes. Reiki can only do good, and in order to appreciate and begin to understand it, it must be experienced.
The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word Rei, which means “universal life” and Ki, which means “energy.” It is believed that a person’s “ki” (energy) should be strong and free-flowing. When ki (also “qi” or “chi”) is strong and free, a person’s body and mind are in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it can lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
Universal Life Force Energy is present in all things organic and inorganic in our world. It is very similar to molecular and electromagnetic vibrations. In a Reiki session, Peter connects to this energy source and becomes a conduit for this energy to run simultaneously to and through the recipient’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
The concept of a life force is found in most of the ancient cultures of the world. In India, it is called prana; in China, chi; in Japan, ki; for Native Americans, the Great Spirit. For all these cultures and others as well, the concept of life force is or was central to their forms of medicine and healing.
What Reiki is not
Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma or specific doctrine of beliefs. Reiki can work regardless of whether the recipient believes in it or not, although one can refuse to receive Reiki and therefore not receive its benefit. Some people are skeptical, but if they are open-minded enough to consider the possibility that they may be helped in this way, they can still receive benefit.
Reiki is not “channeling,” “mind control,” or hypnosis. Reiki does not involve “E.S.P.” or psychic phenomena. It is not a form of psychic healing or psychic surgery, and it is not a massage technique. It is not based on imagination, wishful thinking, or visualization, and is not dependent on a certain state of mind. It is not necessary to be in a meditative state of mind to receive (or give) Reiki.
Reiki does not interfere with medical treatments; Reiki can only bring benefit. Reiki is not just for when one is ill, and it is not simply to reduce pain or symptoms. Reiki brings the body and the being in sync with wellness at all levels. Everyone and anyone can learn, use, and benefit from regular use of Reiki.
My journey with energy healing and transformation work
I am very grateful that Reiki has been a deeply meaningful and beneficial part of my life path since 2011 when I was first inspired to seek Reiki training so I could assist, comfort, and nurture my mother after she had been diagnosed with an unusual and debilitating brain disease. In addition to facilitating Reiki sessions in a variety of ways for my mother, I have also served as a member of the volunteer Reiki team at Stanford Cancer Center (at Stanford University Medical Center), and have been providing Reiki both in-person and remotely, since 2011. I am also an assistant practitioner in sacred ceremonies with Rae of Light Ministries, which has added tremendously to my ability to be a clear and open conduit for the energies of healing and transformation.
My Reiki training includes:
Usui Reiki Level One, 2011
Received training, attunements, and certification from Reiki Master Linda Alderman in the Stanford University School of Medicine’s Health Enrichment Series, Palo Alto, California.
Usui Reiki Level Two, 2012
Received training, attunements, and certification from Reiki Master Terry Attwood of A Temple Space in San Carlos, California.
Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Levels One and Two, 2015-2016
Received additional Level One and Level Two training, attunements, and certification from Reiki Master Shellee Rae of Absoulute Health in Ashland, Oregon.
Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level Three (Master Practitioner) and Master Teacher Level, 2016-17
Received training, attunements, and certification from Reiki Master Shellee Rae of Absoulute Health in Ashland, Oregon.
In addition to Reiki, in 2012 I received training in Vortex® Divine Energy Healing from master instructor Gailynn Carroll and, in 2006-2007, I studied and practiced the Blue Body® Healing Discipline at the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. I have also studied shamanism practices with The Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and I have cultivated my clairvoyant abilities with Debra Lynne Katz of the International School of Clairvoyance.
The fine print
Of course, as in any modality of care (“alternative” or not), there are no guarantees that you will receive the exact results you are desiring for your session, or for that matter, any of the possible results (as mentioned in session descriptions) for each type of session. Results are different for everyone and are affected by an array of influences, including your openness and readiness for transformation, healing, and/or balance, your own expectations, your beliefs, as well as your ability to receive and perceive the effects of Reiki. It is more accurate to say Reiki balances than to say Reiki cures.
Many people who are open to energy work such as Reiki are able to receive profound benefits. Some people are skeptical, but if they are open-minded enough to consider the possibility that they can be helped in this way, they can still be helped. But, a person can refuse Reiki and not receive its benefit. Some people unknowingly cling to an illness or imbalance and/or are unable to let it go for a variety of reasons having to do with their life path and lessons, the influence of other people and other factors in their lives, etc. Ultimately, life always gives us exactly what we need for our own evolution.

…The energy radiating from his hands is so significant, that I feel it immediately as a soothing warm flow. When he works with you, his intention to be a positive channel for good is obvious and he becomes a conduit for powerful life force energy. After a session, I am pain-free, feeling almost blissful. Peter has been a blessing in my life!Mary Cummings
If the warmth and power flowing from Peter’s hands aren’t enough to convince you he’s a true master, the results of a session with him will.Patrick Prohaska
